Newcastle Remembrance Sunday4th November 2016
100 PENNIES FOR THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME!
To pay our respect and commemorate the brave men and women who fought in the battle of the Somme and to support the British Legion, we will be donating £1 for every single person who dines at our restaurant on Remembrance Sunday (13th November)!
We want to encourage all of you lovely ladies and gents of Newcastle to get involved in our fundraiser and join us on this occasion.
Whether you fancy a quick lunch or a full on feast, every meal, no matter how big, will help raise more money for the British Legion.
To those of you joining us on the day, we welcome you to join efforts and match our donation, by also donating a £1 on the day! A 100 pennies can really go far and together with the support of our lovely customers, we can do our best to pay our respects and show our appreciation of the British Legion!
We wear our poppies with pride, and so at 11am on Remembrance Sunday, we will hold 2 minutes silence for the fallen ones.
If you’d like to support us in our fundraiser, it’s not yet too late to book a table for this Sunday – you can book a table in a couple simple steps by clicking here; https://www.georgesgreatbritishkitchen.co.uk/booking-newcastle-restaurant/
If you cannot join us on the day, our donation jars will be available all weekend long so if you have a few pennies you would like to donate, you can do so Friday all the way through to Sunday!
We look forward to seeing all you Ladies and Gents over at ours and seeing how much money we can raise altogether!
If you’d like to further support the British Legion, you can pop over to their website and either donate some money or purchase something from their wonderful online shop; http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/ways-to-give/make-a-donation
